I am seriously disappointed not to be able to attend because, as I have indicated to both Michelle and to John, I have been massively impressed by the team of workmen who have completed this job and would have wished to say so in public when all assembled. They have been utterly professional, totally dependable and have exhibited tremendous co-operation all on top of what, to a lay person, looks like excellent workmanship. I have been delighted to have worked with them over these weeks. After many years of experience of working with builders in schools, I would wish to say that I have never had such a positive experience and would commend them to any headteacher: I have total confidence in their commitment and above all else to their demeanour and understanding whilst working on school premises. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to work in a school, in term time, and I am sure you will appreciate that there cant be any higher recommendation than that from a headteacher who has to consider all the difficulties that can arise!! I would like you to convey to the team, particularly the two Mikes who oversaw the project, my very genuine thanks and appreciation; equally, I would thank Bailys and all involved for the deployment of an excellent team. Finally, my thanks to all at Baileys and at PCC for their commitment and forbearance given all the pressures involved in this project, including me! I am sure you will agree, that it looks wonderful and I know that staff and students will be extremely impressed and impacted upon by the results of your work.
With best wishes.Helen Mathieson | Principal at Marine Academy Plymouth
